• Payment Data: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Uploaded Files: Resumes you upload for enhancement (stored temporarily, then processed).
• Technical Data: Approximate logs for error diagnosis (timestamp, route, status code).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate and enhance resumes and cover letters using AI or mock fallback.
• To enforce freemium usage limits and provide premium subscription features.
• To process payments and subscription status.
• To improve reliability, security, and performance of the service.
• To send essential transactional emails (password reset, account notices).

3. AI Generation & Data Handling

When USE_MOCK_AI=false, anonymized prompt content may be sent to the OpenAI API. We do not send unrelated personal data and never sell your content. When USE_MOCK_AI=true, generation happens locally without external API calls.

4. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation events (webhooks) to activate premium features. Failed or incomplete payments do not grant access.

5. Data Retention

• Generated documents: Retained for history until user deletion or manual removal.
• Uploaded original resumes: May be cleaned up after processing to reduce storage footprint.
• Logs: Short-term retention for diagnostics, then purged.

7. Your Choices

• Delete generated documents from your dashboard.
• Request account deletion by contacting support (removes associated generated data).
• Toggle between free and premium subscription tiers.

8. Third-Party Services

• Cloud Storage (S3/Cloudinary): May store generated or uploaded assets.

9. Children's Privacy

The service is not intended for individuals under 16. Do not create an account if you are under this age.
